Hakim Nasir was born in 1947 in Ajmer, Rajasthan, British India. His immediate family and parents moved to Karachi, Pakistan after 1947. To earn a living, the parents set up a herbal medicine business called Nizami Dawakhana on Burns Road in Karachi.
Hakeem Nasir inherited and ran that business after his death. Hakeem Nasir, who was born here and began his studies in Ayurvedic and Unani at Tibbia College Delhi, followed his family traditions and became a herbalist.
He also served the Presidency in Jamiat-ul-Ulama Hind. And his closeness to Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal was such that Allama Iqbal used to share many of his articles with Hakim Nasir Ahmed (late) and get them reviewed. After completing his studies and practice in Hikmat, he returned to Ajmer to his father.
And under the supervision of his father he learned a lot to serve his family and continue his religious and worldly works and also served his people by holding many high ranked positions in government departments, also he became the “Khwaja Also remained connected with the “Unani style” of Dargah.
And his grace and peace made him successful in India, after the separation of India he came to Karachi and started a herbal clinic named “Nizami Dawakhana” in 1947. With his tireless and continuous practice he served thousands of patients.
And still, his brother Hakeem Muhammad Jalal Ahmed and his sons Hakeem Muhammad Umar, Hakeem Muhammad Abdul Rehman and Hakeem Muhammad Abdullah are making efforts for the cause of humanity.
