Early Life and Education
Born on October 26, 1965, in Kucha Chelan, Delhi, Ashhar hails from a family with roots in Amroha, Western Uttar Pradesh. He began his education at Shanta Nursery School and continued at Ramjas School No.1 in Daryaganj. He pursued a B.A. (Honours) in Urdu from Zakir Husain Delhi College.
Literary Career
Ashhar's journey into poetry gained momentum in 1998 when he started attending all-India mushairas (poetry gatherings). He received encouragement from esteemed poets like Professor Wasim Barelvi, Dr. Rahat Indori, Anwar Jalalpuri, Meraj Faizabadi, and Munawwar Rana. His poetic talent has led him to perform across India and internationally, including countries such as the USA, UK, UAE, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Pakistan.
